It’s good to see the BBC recognising the need to address this country’s poorly insulated homes (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-63816641). From our own experience conducting thermal imaging surveys in and around Hertfordshire, we know how badly insulated some of our older houses are. Domestic heating produces 14% of the UK’s greenhouse emissions, however the Government really needs to step up, and provide the billions of pounds required to better insulate particularly our older homes. The drastic drop-off in government grants and support, mean many people are also unduly suffering this winter with cold homes.
